Ways to Give

Current Appeal

Your kindness today can spark medical breakthroughs

Kindness grows.

Your gift today will help many more people tomorrow and to help advance medical research and deliver better health outcomes for everyone.

You may already know that Cabrini is more than a hospital. We’re also a home for innovative medical research. For the past 25 years Cabrini Research has supported hundreds of cutting-edge projects and delivered many medical breakthroughs.

But none of this is possible without the support of our donors.

As a clinical trial participant, Kristi Robertson knows better than most how critical research can be.

“In April last year I was diagnosed with pancreatic  cancer, with secondaries on the liver. At best, I had six months to live. The first lot of chemotherapy didn’t work. And the second lot gave me horrific reactions. I had no choice but to stop. When we heard about the trial, we were ecstatic. The mutation in my cancer cells is very rare, and this trial targets those specific mutations.

“So far, it’s been incredibly promising. My tumour markers have dropped significantly and I feel a lot better. As long as it’s working, I can have the treatment. Cabrini has been incredible and I couldn’t ask for anything better. I now have hope for my future.”

Professor Gary Richardson OAM, Head of Cabrini Research explains: “Medical research holds the key to understanding, preventing and treating diseases. It drives innovation in healthcare and improves the quality of human life.”

From the laboratory to preclinical models, clinical trials and implementation into clinical practice, everything we do is about improving the lives of our patients – and delivering better health outcomes for everyone.

An investment in research is an investment in the welfare of our community.

Your kindness today will grow to help many people tomorrow. Please give generously and together we can help advance medical research and deliver better health outcomes for everyone.

As tabled in Parliament in December, Federal Member for Higgins Dr Michelle Ananda-Rajah MP spoke of the future of genetic research, highlighting Cabrini’s leadership in this area.
