Ways to Give

Current Equipment Needs

Cabrini relies on philanthropic support to acquire new medical equipment to enhance patient care.

By contributing to the purchase of advanced medical technology, you can help Cabrini hospital deliver better healthcare services and improve patient outcomes. Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of those who rely on Cabrini for medical treatment.

Transport Defibrillators

$12,000 each (6 needed)

A transport defibrillator is a medical device used to help save lives during emergencies. It is portable and can be easily carried from one place to another for quick access. The device delivers an electric shock to the heart to restore its normal rhythm in case of a sudden cardiac arrest. These are used when patients need to be moved between wards or to surgery and are at risk of arrest

Endovascular Vein Harvesting

$13,000 each (1 needed)

Endovascular vein harvesting allows surgeons to collect veins from the body for use in heart bypass surgeries. This equipment allows surgeons to perform this technique with precision and efficiency, promoting faster recovery for the patient. Overall, endovascular vein harvesting plays a key role in ensuring successful heart surgeries and better quality of life for patients.

ERBE Diathermy Unit

$50,000 each (4 needed)

The ERBE Diathermy unit plays a crucial role in surgery by helping to stop bleeding. This device uses electrical currents to coagulate blood vessels, which helps to control and prevent excessive bleeding during surgical procedures. By effectively sealing blood vessels, the ERBE Diathermy unit helps surgeons to operate with precision and minimise the risk of complications related to bleeding.

Neoprobe Console

$30,000 each (1 needed)

A neoprobe console is a medical device used by doctors during surgeries to detect and locate cancerous tissues, particularly for breast cancer patients. The console emits a special type of radiation that helps doctors identify the precise location of the tumor within the patient's body and guides surgeons in removing cancer cells while minimising damage to surrounding healthy tissue. This advanced technology has improved the accuracy and success rates of cancer surgeries, making it an essential tool in modern healthcare.

ECG Machine

$11,000 each (1 needed)

An electrocardiogram (ECG) machine is a medical device used to measure the electrical activity of the heart. They are used to diagnose heart conditions such as irregular heartbeats, heart attacks, and other cardiac problems. During an ECG test, electrodes are placed on a patient's chest, arms, and legs to record the heart's electrical signals. The information gathered from an ECG test helps healthcare professionals to evaluate the heart's health and identify any abnormalities.

Resuscitare

$42,000 each (5 needed)

A neonatal resuscitare is a special machine used by doctors and nurses to help newborn babies breathe if they have trouble breathing on their own. It delivers oxygen and helps keep the baby's lungs working properly until they can breathe well on their own. The resuscitator can be a life-saving tool for babies who are born prematurely or have difficulty adjusting to life outside the womb. This equipment is needed in delivery suites, special care nursery and the emergency department.
