“I want my legacy to be a bit of pay forward and a little pay back. I want to make a difference but thank Cabrini in the future"
Cabrini has been a huge part of Donna Bradley-Robinson’s life. Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis at the young age of 26, Donna has had at least 20 admissions in Cabrini, countless hospital visits and drug trials, and undergone various therapies – just in the last 10 years.
“My neurologist Judith Frayne is incredible, she’s amazing. With multiple sclerosis, that’s where Cabrini becomes part of your life. You eat here, you sleep here and Cabrini becomes so familiar.
“Whenever I come here I am confident that I am going to be well cared for. That’s why I remain loyal to this hospital, I have received the best care and treatment I have ever had.”
A former police-woman, Donna has also witnessed her older sister’s heart-wrenching battle with ovarian cancer and the extra mile the nurses, doctors and staff went to in the last year of her life.
In gratitude of her personal experience, Donna decided to include Cabrini in her Will.
“It’s been an amazing journey going through my own chronic health issues, juggling my care and dealing with my sister, who’s now gone. Tracey’s passing just cemented that commitment for me.
“I want the quality of care I have received to just keep improving with more funding. I want my legacy to be a bit of pay forward and a little pay back. I want to make a difference but thank Cabrini in the future,” says Donna.
“You don’t have to have a lot of money to leave a gift in your Will. What you leave will help a patient. You can just leave something, part of your estate, every bit matters and can make some difference.”
