National Gallery breakfast supports Music Therapy Program

Music Therapist Caitlin Bull

The Cabrini Foundation community enjoyed breakfast and a private tour of the visiting exhibition from New York’s Museum of Modern Art at the National Gallery of Victoria, at a fundraiser for the Music Therapy Program at Cabrini Palliative Care in Prahran.

Donors, supporters and staff were treated to a performance by Marty Rose of the classic “Let It Be”. This was followed by moving presentations by Associate Professor Clare O’Callaghan and Music Therapist Caitlin Bull about the effect music therapy can have on patients. Attendees even got to hear music written and performed by some of those patients, in an incredibly moving and emotional privilege.

Funds raised by the breakfast will pay for much needed equipment and staffing for our music therapy program.

Please enjoy some of the photos from the event in the gallery below.
